Thank you for applying to staff a Woman Within® Weekend presented by Woman Within UK. We are currently accepting applications for staffing for 12-14 April 2025 in Dorking.

Staff selection takes place at least six weeks prior to the Weekend. We will be in touch to let you know if your application has been successful and give you all the information you need, including how to pay your staffing fee.

Minimum time commitment: 9am Friday until 5pm Sunday (some specific tasks require arrival by 3pm on Thursday)

Final staff meeting commences at 4pm.

Please note you are welcome to arrive anytime from lunchtime on Thursday and you are encouraged to arrive early to settle in to venue.

Previous Staffing Experience*

We are very pleased to receive applications from women who have never staffed before. In order to staff you must have completed the Woman Within Staff Training. You may apply to staff If you have not yet completed the training and you must undertake to complete Staff Training prior to the date of the Woman Within Weekend.

We have a special request for two women that hold a British Red Cross or  St John’s Ambulance general first aid and CPR qualification to apply to staff to take on the Safety role. In the past, we have struggled to recruit women with the necessary first aid qualifications so if you do have one of them, you stand a greater chance of being selected to staff.

Process and Requirements

How does the Woman Within® Staffing Application process work?

1. Applications to staff the Woman Within® Weekend are submitted.

2. Staff are selected approximately 7 weeks before the Weekend they have offered to staff.

3. Please note that applying to staff is a commitment to staff. The expectation is that you will keep this weekend free to staff until you are notified if your application has been unsuccessful.

4. After staff are selected, you’ll receive notice approximately 6 weeks before the Weekend stating if you’ve been accepted for staffing, put on a waiting list (this happens very rarely if we have too many applicants) or advised to do other preparation before you staff. At this point your staffing fee is due for payment immediately

5. Requests received after the application deadline will be reviewed as needed. Do contact the staffing Co-Ordinator if you have missed the deadline and with to apply.

What are the requirements to staff?

To staff for the first time, you must:

- Complete the Woman Within® Weekend
- Complete Woman Within® Staff Training

As part of your commitment to staff, you must:

- Commit to working on your own issues in some way: it is very important that we are each committed to doing our own work apart from staffing Woman Within® Weekends

- Attend all the staff meetings during the Weekend and the online celebration on the following Sunday

- Pay your staff lodging fee. Staffing is done on a voluntary basis; the £120 lodging fee helps cover the cost of your room and board. Please be aware that the true cost for weekend lodging fees is £200, but we appreciate this is a considerable amount of money to many people. If you are in a position to cover the full amount, it would be hugely appreciated.

There are bursaries available at each weekend to help towards staff lodging fees, so please contact Katja for more information.

- The staffing fee is due for payment as soon as you have received confirmation and is non refundable.

- These requirements and other recommendations for staffing may be requested from Woman Within® International or Woman Within UK.
