Woman Within UK is a grassroots organisation offering spaces where women are encouraged to grow, reflect and become their fullest selves.

The first Woman Within Weekend® was established by Char Tosi in Wisconsin, USA in 1987. Inspired by their own experiences on their weekend, a group of women with vision and passion established Woman Within UK in 1996. At the heart of Woman Within UK is a simple mission: to support women to empower themselves and live their best possible lives. For generations, women have gathered together, to be seen and heard, to receive support when life feels heavy, to be gently challenged when we are stuck and to be reminded of our worth when we forget it ourselves.

Woman Within UK is a community rooted in this tradition. Through the Weekend retreat and ongoing Circles and workshops, women come together to support and empower one another on their individual journeys. Women Within UK is guided by a group of women who offer their time, experience, and gifts voluntarily. Together they hold safe and supportive spaces where women can discover their own solutions and reconnect with all aspects of themselves.

For centuries, women have gathered together to see, hear and support each other; to be held when we feel alone, challenged when we’re stuck and loved when we believe that we aren’t worthy.

Woman Within UK is a community of women who support and empower each other to be the best they can be, through the Woman Within Weekend and through regular Circle meetings.

Woman Within UK is led by a group of women who offer their gifts, their time and their commitment voluntarily, to ensure that there is a space for women to find their own solutions and discover their power within.

The Heart of Woman Within UK

Woman Within UK is rooted in the understanding that each of us holds both masculine and feminine energies. Many of the challenges facing individuals and communities today can be understood as arising from an imbalance between these energies. A strong cultural emphasis on the masculine has often amplified qualities such as disconnection, competition, rigid power structures, separation, and control through fear.

In this context, vulnerability, once honoured as a source of wisdom and strength, has come to be misunderstood as weakness. In many ancient traditions, vulnerability was revered and recognised as a pathway to deeper connection and meaning.

Woman Within UK believes that restoring the balance between masculine and feminine energies is essential for harmonious co-existence. 

 

We believe that:

• By moving towards inner balance and wholeness, greater harmony is reflected in the world around us.
• Harmony reduces violence, repression and fear.
• Wholeness embraces vulnerability, authenticity, and inherent worth.
• From wholeness, love and compassion become the gateway to intimacy and the foundation of all relationships.
• From wholeness, we come to understand that fear is the absence of love.

Woman Within UK exists to create a world where women know, embrace, live and lead from their truth. We do this by inspiring women to connect with all parts of themselves and to develop a deep sense of belonging and purpose in the world. Through our programmes, we offer opportunities for women to support transformation and growth, within themselves and alongside other women.
