Woman Within UK is led by a group of women who offer their gifts and time voluntarily. Without the generous commitment of these women, the Weekend and community could not grow and continue to reach as many women as possible.
We encourage those who have completed the Weekend to pay forward what they have reclaimed for themselves by volunteering to ensure the continuity of a space for women to do their work.
What you can get out of volunteering is a sense of purpose and community with other women, and the opportunity to develop your own growth and self-awareness.

Leadership Team
All the roles for the Leadership Team are on a rolling basis, for a fixed term. Therefore, opportunities are constantly arising. Most roles are available on a job-share basis.
Being part of the Woman Within UK Leadership Team means to support and directly impact the growth and future of the organisation and to be a key decision-maker. You would need to be motivated, energetic and committed.
We currently have a range of positions available on the board including Governance, Fundraising and Marketing.
If you are curious about any of these positions or would like to offer your time and commitment to the Leadership Team then contact Katja to discuss this.
Supporting roles:
There are many opportunities to share your special talents with the community and there are many roles across the organisation that need to be filled:
Logistics, if you are organised and efficient, we need you to arrange the supplies that support a Weekend. This mostly involves online ordering and managing deliveries.
Paperwork, for organised paper lovers, you are needed to print and collate all the paperwork that participants complete for a Weekend. This involves printing and liaison both between International in the USA and the Workshop Leaders in the UK.
Social media, for anyone who loves Twitter, Facebook and Instagram this is a dream role that you can make your own by directing us on how to get the best out of social channels.
Bloggers and content writers, if your passion is to write, we need your skills to create content that will inspire and empower other women. This role does require a high standard of writing, grammar and punctuation.
Content managers, if you have content planning, editing and copywriting skills, then you can help to keep our website up-to-date, fresh and inspiring. This role does require a good working knowledge of WordPress and content editing. This role could be shared.
Virtual Circle Development, helping and supporting women to start and run virtual Circles. The role requires both good internet access and good communication skills.
Open Circle Coordinator, Guides and Hosts, supporting women to run taster Open Circles in their area. Good communication and organisational skills are necessary.
Circle Resource and Support, linking with new and existing Woman Within UK Circles to access support and wisdom. Informing women about opportunities for new Circles, assisting set-up and mentoring to grow.
If you have any other gifts and time available to support on an ad hoc basis, you are encouraged to please step forward. We are grateful for as many women to support us as possible – in many diverse roles.
If you can fulfil any of the roles above or have any other skills, passion or commitment which you can offer, then please contact Gale Vincent.
“What I get out of volunteering is a real sense of connection and shared purpose; having received so much from this community I see it as my way of saying thank you. There have been challenges along the way, but it is always met with the support of the team and the grace of those who are working hard towards the same goal.”
